Scholarships

The Lilly Lights the Way Childhood Cancer Foundation offers academic scholarships to children who have been diagnosed with or treated for childhood cancer.  Their loved ones are also welcomed and encouraged to apply.

Applications are open from January 20, 2026 to March 20, 2026.  If awarded a scholarship, you will be notified by email by April 15th.  Recipients will be awarded a one time scholarship of $1000 after the completion of their first semester. The funds will be mailed directly to the recipients accredited school/university.

Applicants must be:
  • A current childhood cancer patient, a childhood cancer survivor or a loved one of a childhood cancer patient/survivor (must have been diagnosed before the age of 18)
  • Enrolled in or accepted for enrollment in an accredited undergraduate school/university
  • A citizen of the United States and attending school in the U.S.

The Lilly Lights the Way Childhood Cancer Foundation awarded two scholarships in 2025.  We are excited to announce our scholarship winners: Isla Thompson and Olivia Falzone!

Isla will attend UMass Dartmouth to earn a bachelor's degree in Marketing while competing as an NCAA athlete on the women's soccer team. After completing her undergraduate studies, she plans to pursue graduate school, either studying Law or continuing her education in Business.

Olivia will be attending the College of Charleston this fall. She plans to pursue a career in event and wedding planning, with hopes of turning her passion for creating memorable experiences into a profession.

Congratulations to our two recipients of the 2025 Lilly Lights The Way 3rd Annual Scholarship! Your hard work, dedication, and bright futures truly embody the spirit of this award.

On May 16, 2024, Lilly Lights the Way foundation had the pleasure of attending the Attleboro High School Scholarship Night. Over 315 scholarships were gifted to AHS seniors for all of their hard work and dedication. Two of our four Lilly Lights the Way scholarship winners were in attendance, and LLTW President, Lyndi, had the privilege of awarding Maddie Willis and Abigail Betts their scholarships in person.

The Lilly Lights the Way Foundation awarded four scholarships in 2024.  We are pleased to announce our scholarship winners are Madelyn Willis, Abigail Betts, Katrina Zinni and Gianna Falzone.

Madelyn will be attending Northeastern University in the fall where she will be studying Biology on the Pre-Med track.  She hopes to be a Pediatric Emergency Physical one day.

Abigail aspires to become a pediatric oncology nurse after she graduates college.

Katrina will be a junior at the University of Connecticut in the fall.  She is pursuing a degree in nursing to become a pediatric oncology nurse.  She said, "I want to give back by working in the profession that changed my family's lives and be there to support other families through this difficult time the same way that many nurses did mine.”

Gianna aims to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, armed with a robust skill set and knowledge base.  Beyond her professional pursuits, she is deeply passionate about advocating for childhood cancer awareness by providing any support she can to her local community. She said her family has received so much generosity from others and she would like to continue that kind deed for others.
